July’s Spotlight Member is Michelle Nacca! Michelle has only been with us a year, but she makes a big impression! She always has a smile and encouraging word. She works hard to learn new movements and has made huge gains while she has been with us.
How long have you been CrossFitting?One year
How did you start?For years my husband encouraged me to give CrossFit a try. In need of a new work out routine, I began my search last year. All it took was a quick phone call to CrossFit Fairport. I was in and learning the basics.
What is your favorite movement or workout?Well, I have a love-hate relationship with Cleans. Matt will confirm this. 🙂 One day, I will conquer the movement!
What’s your most challenging movement or workout?Does calculating how much weight I need to put on or take off during an intense workout count as a challenging movement or workout? No? Well, then I will go back to my love-hate relationship with Cleans.
What do you love about it?I absolutely love the community! Encouraging Friends + A Great Workout = CrossFit Fairport
What can you do today that you couldn’t do before CrossFit, or what do you do better?Pull-ups! But the Kipping Pull-Up better watch out because I’m making my way towards it!

Does CrossFit ever make your job easier?CrossFit is my stress reliever!
Do you have any CFF ‘memorable’ moments?Every unspoken ‘We survived!’ high-five that I’ve had with other members after deadly workouts.
Do you have other hobbies or activities?I have a love for snowshoeing, trail running, and spending time with my friends and family.
What advice would you give to a brand-new CrossFit Fairport member?Never compare yourself to others. Go at your own pace. The moves may feel unnatural at first but give it some time. You’ll get it and you’ll love it!
